We have brought together all the usage policies and legal pages of the Arkus platform.

Payment and Fees Policy

Last updated: May 2025.

1. Overview

This Policy explains how payments are processed, how fees may apply, and how payouts are calculated on Arkus. By using the Services, you agree to follow this Policy in addition to the Terms.

2. Pricing and checkout totals

Checkout totals may include:

  • Product price
  • Applicable taxes (where required)
  • Shipping and handling (when applicable)
  • Currency conversion (if applicable)
  • Other charges disclosed at checkout

The final amount shown at checkout is the amount the Buyer authorizes for payment.

3. Payment methods and authorization

We may support different payment methods depending on region and eligibility. When a Buyer initiates a payment, the transaction may be subject to:

  • Verification and authorization by the payment provider and/or issuing bank
  • Risk and fraud checks
  • Additional steps (e.g., 3DS or verification prompts)

4. Fees

Arkus may charge fees related to:

  • Processing and platform usage
  • Payouts and settlement operations
  • Chargebacks and disputes handling
  • Refund handling and operational costs

Fee types, fee amounts, and how they apply may vary by country, payment method, risk profile, and Seller plan. Fees should be disclosed in dashboards, plan pages, checkout settings, or contractual documents when applicable.

5. Taxes, duties, and compliance charges

Taxes and duties may be required depending on the jurisdiction:

  • If taxes are collected by Arkus where required, they will be reflected in the transaction records.
  • Import duties or taxes assessed at delivery (if applicable) are typically the Buyer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

Sellers must provide accurate information and documentation necessary for lawful tax handling.

6. Payouts and settlement timing

Payouts may depend on:

  • Settlement schedules
  • Reserve and risk holds
  • Refund and chargeback windows
  • Compliance verification (identity/business checks)
  • Banking and processing timelines

Arkus may delay or hold payouts when required for risk management, fraud prevention, chargeback exposure, or legal/compliance reasons.

7. Refunds, chargebacks, and deductions

If a transaction is refunded or charged back, Arkus may deduct the corresponding amounts from:

  • Current payouts
  • Future payouts
  • Any reserve or balance as permitted

Additional chargeback-related fees may apply.

8. Errors and adjustments

If an error occurs (including pricing, settlement, payout, or accounting issues), Arkus may correct the records and make reasonable adjustments to balances and payout amounts.

9. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
